Swift Tools ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications, including Swift Clean (Package Name: com.swiftclean.tool) and Swift PDF (Package Name: com.swiftpdf.editor.reader) (collectively referred to as the "Applications" or "App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Applications.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To provide you with our core storage management, PDF reading/editing, and utility services, we may process certain data locally on your device or collect minimal non-sensitive information as described below:
A. Information Processed Locally on Your Device
Our core features operate strictly on your device locally. We do not upload your personal files, documents, or photos to external servers:
- Storage, PDF & File Data: When you use Junk File Cleaning, Screenshot Cleaning, Large File Cleaning, Photo Compression, or PDF Viewing and Editing features, the App accesses your file system locally to scan, display, compress, or edit your files and documents.
- App Usage & Installed Packages: When using the App Management feature (where applicable), we read the list of installed applications locally to help you view storage consumption and manage apps.
B. Technical and Device Information (Non-Identifiable)
To ensure app functionality, stability, advertising attribution, and fraud prevention, we and our third-party service providers may automatically collect non-personally identifiable device information:
- Device hardware model, operating system version, and system language.
- Network status (e.g., Wi-Fi or mobile network connection).
- Anonymous usage analytics (e.g., app launches, feature interactions), Advertising Identifiers (e.g., GAID for attribution), and crash logs.
2. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR COMPLIANCE)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), our legal bases for processing your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) include:
- Contractual Necessity: To perform the core functions of the App that you explicitly request (e.g., executing file cleanup, photo compression, or viewing PDF documents).
- Legitimate Interests: To improve application performance, ensure app security, and prevent fraudulent activity.
- Consent: Where required by law, we obtain your explicit consent before accessing optional device permissions or processing specific data. You may withdraw your consent at any time through your device settings.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected data strictly for legitimate operational purposes:
- To provide and execute core application functionalities (junk scanning, photo compression, file management, PDF reading and editing).
- To maintain, analyze, and optimize app performance and fix technical bugs.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce Google Play Developer Program Policies.
We DO NOT:
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
- Conduct misleading activities, deceptive performance optimization, or unauthorized background monitoring.
- Upload your photos, PDF documents, or personal files to any remote server.
4. THIRD-PARTY SDKS AND DATA TRANSFER
To provide analytics and ad services, we may integrate reputable third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs). These third parties may process anonymous technical data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services / Firebase Analytics: App performance tracking and crash reporting.
- Facebook / Meta SDK: Advertising and marketing attribution.
Any international transfer of data (e.g., outside the EEA) is executed in full compliance with GDPR standard contractual clauses (SCCs) to guarantee an adequate level of data protection.
5. YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS UNDER GDPR
If you reside in the EEA/UK, you possess the following privacy rights:
- Right of Access & Portability: Request information regarding the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request the deletion of data processed by our third-party analytics services.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions (e.g., Storage, Notifications) at any time via your Android system settings (Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Permissions).
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: File a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (DPA) regarding our data handling.
6. APP PERMISSIONS & USER CONTROL
Swift Tools requests system permissions strictly on a "Minimum Necessary" basis. Permission dialogs clearly state the functional purpose before requesting access:
- Storage Access / File Access: Strictly required to scan and delete junk files, locate large files, compress user-selected photos, and open/manage PDF files in accordance with functional necessity.
- Installed Apps Access: Strictly required to display storage usage per app in the App Management feature (where available).
- Notifications: Optional permission used solely to deliver user-requested utility alerts or scan status updates.
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Swift Tools is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
8. DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY
- Local Processing & Data Deletion: Your media files, PDF documents, and personal files processed by the App are stored exclusively on your device and are cleared immediately after the operation is complete. Since we do not store your personal files on remote servers, you can clear all locally processed data at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the App from your device.
- Analytics Data: Non-identifiable technical logs are retained by third-party analytics providers for the minimum period required to fulfill reporting and security needs.
- We implement standard administrative and technical security measures to protect against unauthorized access or alteration of data.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly for updates.
